So this is my blog for Narrative and Play in Interactive media. I've not done any film studies before despite being in Arts for the longest time, though I liked Hiroshima Mon Amour which we studied in Lit 101. This being my working blog, I thought long and hard about an appropriate blog title and voila! Needless to say, the name is perfect, having nothing whatsoever to do with sense and sensibility. It is irrelevant like me. The name "killercow" has a certain ring to it and it fits in to one of those words that are pleasant to verbalise like pudding and insufferable.
A bit about myself..
My name is Aileen and I married in June this year. I like chocolate but it's bad for baby Christopher (Chris for short), who's due in November. I am the proud player of games like DOTA, Baulder's Gate, Max Payne, Heros, and anything else my brother or husband hooks me on. My brother and I bonded over Spiderman, Xmen, Liberty Meadows, Calvin and Hobbes comics growing up, and last year we killed many hours with intense fighting on Star Wars: The Sith Lords, Samurai Warriors, Mortal Kombat and the likes. Imagine my surprise at finding out this module is about story-telling and games on the first lecture! Of course, now that I've inevitably stumbled onto the World of the Adults, I've not touched many games besides Dota-ing with the gang. I do have an itch to try out Baulder's Gate II again, but I have to stop choosing the good path... I just can't help doing extra random quests and watching the love interest plot emerge.
